Mwingi is a vibrant town.
There is a lot of competition for basically everything. The locals are copy cats too. They copy every single idea that seems to work for another person and turn it into a national anthem. Besides the copy cats who take other people’s ideas and perfect them more than the conceiver of the idea there are those with already established businesses and a stronger financial muscle.
These two calibers you need to outwit in order to succeed and curve a niche of the market.
To survive in the market, I devised the tactic of being a delivery man of my own products to customers. I offer free delivery services to customers withing the town and to bus stages and courier service providers for onward transit to customers outside town.
For local deliveries I deliver on a bicycle but for a heavier luggage and urgent deliveries I move on a motorbike. The bicycle is a cheaper option as its maintenance is quite low compared to the motorcycle. The motorbike is not that costly too, there is a good return even when I use it.
Here am on a delivery errand to one of my regular customers.
